Grandpa’s Garage

A Web App for Gym Guys

Overview

Gym Guys approached me again to create their initial mobile web presence. They were looking for a way to start to get the word out about their gym and start to get members to join. The work on this Web app necessitated understanding the ideal user experience as well as the brand that the Gym Guys wanted for their garage. To accomplish this goal, it also meant some work on branding.

Solution

After working through a basic user experience map and wireframe, we needed to build out the flow of the site. It’s become clear that there is no perfect No-Code tool yet, but Adolo provided some great resources to make this site happen. I was able to build each of the screens needed to align with the wireframe and user experience. I was able to design the database for the user information as well as the initial class schedule for the classes at Grandpa’s Garage when they launched this initiative. I was also able to stub out the beginnings of an online store for the gear they planned to start selling.

Role

Creating this solution with the Gym Guys required a creative mindset to work through different iterations of possible branding for the gym. I was able to help them establish their brand with the help of Google Gemini. With Adolo I was the App Developer, and also provided some suggestions on what the future of the app could look like for the gear they wanted to sell. The new tools for this project allowed me to see yet another way to look at No-Code development, and continue to grow my toolset as I look towards my future in the age of AI and no-code tools.
